Paige Fox found herself on a beautiful hillside. She stood up gracefully and felt something tugging at her knees. A silk pink dress was billowing in the breeze as though trying desperately to escape her. Her blonde hair pulled back in a ponytail fluttered gently. Suddenly she felt a strong pair of arms wrapping themselves snuggly around her waist. A gentle voice whispered in her ear.
"Ma petite Paige," the voice cooed, "I have been waiting far yoo." Paige, flattered, could only think of one thing to say as a response.
"Ooo, Pierre!" The strong arms gently turned her around and held her in a firm, loving embrace.
"Ma belle Paige," Pierre whispered, looking deep into her eyes, "it has been soh long since weh have last meht." He swung her around and dipped her gently. "How long has it been? Weeks? Months?" Paige felt herself being lifted back up. Warm, moist lips touched her cheek.
"Ooo, Pierre." Paige sighed. She looked into to Pierre's eyes, soaking in their beauty. Paige couldn't stand it any longer.
"Kiss me Pierre!" she cried.
"I will gladly oblige." Pierre said. Paige closed her eyes, waiting. Then, she felt Pierre's heavenly lips press against hers. A tingling sensation crept through her body. She was in heaven. They broke apart, she smiled fondly at him.
"Ma belle Paige," Pierre began, "there is something I must tell yoo."
"Yes Pierre?" Paige cooed stroking Pierre's soft black hair.
"It will probably be the most important thing I evar tell yoo."
"Yes, what it is it Pierre?" Paige asked, knowing what it would be.
"I-I must tell yoo," Pierre stuttered, "that….that…"
"Yes Pierre?" Paige said excitedly.
"Today's forecast is cloudy with 15 chance of snow." Pierre announced.
"What??" Paige exclaimed. Her eyes snapped open. She was in her room and she could hear her radio blaring on about the news and weather. She raised her clenched fist and jammed it down on top of the unfortunate radio.
She pulled back her blankets and got out of bed. Paige stretched and yawned loudly before getting up and walking sluggishly to the bathroom. Eyes half closed she undressed clumsily and stepped into the shower. Instead of hitting the hard tile she expected, her foot collided with something squishy. She looked down and let out a horrified scream.
"JASON!" she roared grabbing a towel and wrapping it around her torso. She marched downstairs and crossed over to her 13 year old brother sitting at the table. He half giggled half yelped as Paige grabbed her brother by the collar.
"Your stupid iguana was in the shower again!" she bellowed. Jason merely smiled. "Don't you think after three years your stupid iguana trick would get a little old?" she asked throwing him back into his chair.
"Anything to see you freak out these days. " Jason said sighing fondly. Paige glared.
"I can not wait until this school year is over!" she groaned. "I'll finally be off to collage and away from you." She smacked Jason in the back of the head before storming back upstairs.
Jason frowned. Paige off to collage too? Then what would he do? He would be an only child. Every since Peter had left he had already felt an emptiness inside but with Paige gone to? It was too horrible to think about. Sure he teased Paige and hid Quincy in her room but he would miss her all the same.
Jason's spirit rose slightly as he saw the iguana, Quincy creep slowly on to the table.
"At least I'll have you pal," said Jason picking up the iguana and placing him on top of his head. The iguana used to be able to climb up all by himself but Quincy was now 4 years old and couldn't do much but eat and sleep. Not that was any different from what he used to do.
"It will be just me and you." Jason said his voice cracking a bit. He quickly slapped his hand across his mouth. No, not his voice. His voice couldn't be changing! He couldn't be growing up too!
